The 2017 OBS Weekend was held on the 9th and 10th September.
As usual the archives team welcomed visitors to the archives where they could view the archives and generally reminisce whilst enjoying a cup of coffee. It was also the starting point for a tour of the School guided by Prefects.

This year due to the dinner in Bushell Hall in the evening the AGM was held in the meeting room above the library.

Election of President: Brian Boumphrey had served his two years as President and stood down. Michael Burrell was elected as President until 2019.
Election of Council: Pippa McKeown stood down from Council. Kirsten Stewart was elected to Council. All other Council members agreed to serve a further year on Council.
In the absence of the Hon. Treasurer, the treasurer's report was read out by Will Roberts, Hon. Sec.,. The main points can be read in the attached minutes.
The Headmaster, Paul Vicars, addressed the members and the main points of his address can be read in the minutes.
The AGM was followd by a buffet lunch.
As usual during the day various School Teams played OB sides.

In the evening the Society held a dinner in Bushell Hall. Over 60 people attended and thanks go to Pippa McKeown and Carol Keegan , Alumni Officer, who organised the event. Hopefully this event can be repeated next year and more members will be able to attend.
On Sunday OBs attended a Choral Evensong in the Chapel. The Chaplain, Father Mark Turner, welcomed the preacher the Rev. Simon Chesters, Director of All Saints Centre for Mission and Ministry.
The Society looks forward to welcoming even more of you at the 2018 weekend.
