In both World Wars many Old Birkonians and masters made the ultimate sacrifice.
In 1920 the School published "Memorials of Old Birkonians 1914 - 1918" which gave an account of each Old Birkonian and master known to have died in the conflict. In most cases the account is accompanied with a photo.
OB Michael Wright has kindly digitized the publication so that it can be viewed on this site.
A similar publication was produced for the Second World War and it is hoped to eventually digitize this as well.
