In both World Wars many Old Birkonians and masters made the ultimate sacrifice.
In 1920 the School published "Memorials of Old Birkonians 1914 - 1918" which gave an account of each Old Birkonian and master known to have died in the conflict. In most cases the account is accompanied with a photo.

The Archives Group has also published "Old Birkonians in World War II 1939 - 1946". It is appropriate that as we mark the 70th Anniversary of the commencement of World War II that this booklet is made available on line. Use the link on the left to read the publication.
