World Cricket
On Friday 1st September a cricket match between a Lashings World XI and a School / OB team took place.
The Lashings squad included Richie Richardson, Alvin Kallicharran, Phil DeFreitas, Gordon Greenidge and Courtney Walsh and we saw some big names playing on the day. As well as seeing some great names in action, there were opportunities for autographs and photos with the players.
The World Cricket day was a fundraising event for the School's Foundation Trust.
The Centenary Ball
Instead of hiring a marquee for the Centenary
Ball, an investment in a lining for the School Sports Hall has been made.
Complete with lighting, dance floor and stage, this
enabled the interior of the Hall to be converted into what appeared to be
a lined marquee. The kit will enable the Hall to be used for future events at the
School at minimal cost.
OB Merchandise
Centenary ties and polo shirts are available from the online shop, but
if you prefer not to pay online with a credit card, please contact Brian
Boumphrey to order any items you require on 0151 632 5674 or by email to
brian.boumphrey@tesco.net.
