The Archives team have published part two of "The Pictorial History of Birkenhead School - 1960 -2010". The Archives

Following refurbishment of 44 Bidston Road which saw the building underpinned, rooms resized on the ground and first floor, the "old" tuck shop improved and a new rear extension to house a sixth form recreation area we are pleased to announce that the Archives are now open again on Monday mornings from 10 a.m. until 1 o'clock. Visitors are most welcome.

          Grafton Morrish Golf Competition

Since 1966 the OBS has entered a team into the Grafton Morrish Golf Competition. The competition is open to public schools across the country and attracted an entry of 109 this year with regional qualifying followed by a three day final at Hunstanton and Royal West Norfolk golf clubs.

The winning team members were:
Carl Adams
Marcus Stam
Phil Whitehurst
Kristopher Archer
Anthony Shields
John Hargreaves

En route to the final they beat:
Aldenham, Lancing, Cheltenham and Solihull.

In the last four they beat Clifton before triumphing against Merchant Taylors' ( Northwood) in the final.
