The following update was received from Phil Davies (77-84), who would like to hear from anyone of his era...
I am currently relocating to Tokyo, where I have been working for 18 months, for an American sportswear company.
I work as a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting in London, and currently live in Worcester. I graduated from the then Liverpool Polytechnic with a degree in manufacturing engineering, then worked for Dowty Group for 4 years, before joining a Dutch material handling company (VAnderlande Industries).
I progressed from project engineer to project manager before becoming operations manager for the UK.
I joined Deloitte Consulting 18 months ago, and have been working in Japan designing and building an automated distribution centre ever since.
I am married and have a 6 month old baby boy.
My involvement with Oxton Hockey club and West Kirby sailing club ended when I left the Wirral.I have since played some hockey in Cheltenham and Worcester, however the legs are not up to it any more.
I would very much like to here from any old colleagues of the 77-84 era.
All the best,
Phil Davies
