From  Reginald F Jones

In October while checking the OB web site for an e-mail address for George Shallcross ('46-'52) who had very kindly sent me a CD of the last OB Rugby Dinner I came across the name of Keith Kennedy ('48-'56) right next to mine in the website list of OB e-mail addresses. In addition to his address he also mentioned Palos Verdes as being his home and the most beautiful place on earth. P.V. is just 30 miles from my home and as there wasn't any real generation gap I invited Keith and his wife Marina to
come to my home for lunch...which they did.

We had many laughs as we swapped stories about our circuitous routes to arrive at approximately the same location and although we designated the meeting as the inaugural meeting of the Southern Calif. Chapter of the OB Society we didn't discuss school extensively.

Keith's path had taken him from the UK to Oz to the UK and then the USA in 1986 whereas I had arrived via UK, Cyprus. UK, Canada, USA, UK and return to Calif in 1966.

Missing from the meeting was the only other known member of the Society to live in SoCal namely James Kennedy ('71-'84) Keith's son. He had to work that day as punishment for his youthfulness.

Keith still works too as a financial consultant but he can award himself some days off although he can't commit to the OB Reunion 2004 as he does not know from day to day what his committments may be.

In November Keith and Marina invited my wife Elaine and I to their house in Palos Verdes which has an almost overpowering, magnificent view of approx. 250 square miles of Pacific Ocean with Catalina Island being in the left foreground 26 miles off the coast.

Keith who had been drinking Newcastle Brown Ale at my home thought the occassion worthy of a bottle of champagne...not Andre $2.99 a bottle variety but Korbel ! Since that time the Kennedy's have had their own OB reunion consisting of Keith and his son James and his nephew Ross ('71-'78) who was visiting from Massachusetts.

We have photos which we will send when we all straighten out our scanners or scanning programs.

Thanks again for the wonderful website, you do a really great job
